A New Training Program A new Feldenkrais Method training program with Elizabeth Beringer begins at the Feldenkrais Institute of San Diego on June 19, 2012. The program is an exciting opportunity for profound learning and growth with students from many parts of the world. We are currently accepting applications. The San Diego program is held in the Hillcrest area of San Diego, a vibrant urban environment filled with restaurants, bookstores and coffee shops and a 10-minute drive from the ocean. Training in the Feldenkrais Method offers an entrance into a rewarding profession and the luxury of an extended and powerful personal growth experience. The Feldenkrais Method, being a general approach to human learning and functioning, can be applied in a wide variety of fields and situations. The field is relatively young, so opportunities for developing new applications of the Method are many. In addition to maintaining independent private practices, many Feldenkrais Practitioners work in such diverse fields as psychology, rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapy, education, physical education, ergonomics, gerontology, sports performance, art, voice, theater, dance and music. Our educational prospectus gives an overview of the program, requirements to graduate and biographies of instructors. Please call if you would like a copy mailed to you. The schedule for the 4-year training will consist of 5-day and 10-day segments to total 40 days per year. A training week runs from Tuesday through Saturday, from noon to 6:15 p.m. each day, with the exception of Saturday, which goes from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (Every day includes time for lunch.) | Description: | San Diego II is the second San Diego-based training held at the Feldenkrais Institute of San Diego. Elizabeth Beringer is the Educational Director. She will be accompanied by some of the most experienced teachers in the field, including Dennis Leri, David Zemach-Bersin, Arlyn Zones, Mara DellaPergola, Donna Ray and Donna Wood.
